How often should I wash my child's hair?

It's important to keep your child clean, but over-washing can strip their hair of natural oils. As a general guideline, you should aim to wash your child's hair 2-3 times per week, depending on their age and activity level. However, if your child is particularly sweaty or dirty after playing outside or participating in sports, you will want to wash their hair more regularly.

What type of shampoo should I use for my child?

When it comes to choosing shampoo for your child, it's important to select a product that is gentle for their hair and scalp. Look for products that contain hydrating ingredients like glycerin and are free from harsh chemicals, artificial colours, and dyes, as these can be harsh on your child's skin.

If your child has dry or curly hair, it’s important to get a shampoo that is suitable for this particular hair type. Check out our coco-nouish range, created to nourish and hydrate dry and curly hair.

Can I use this product if my child has sensitive skin?

Our products have been specifically formulated to be gentle on all skin types, including sensitive skin, and also safe for people who may be prone to eczema.

Every single person's skin is slightly different and because of that we would always recommend that you complete a patch test on your little one's skin before using a new product for the first time.

We would recommend applying a small amount of the product either behind the ear or on the inside of the upper arm and leaving this for 24 hours before first use to make sure there are no issues. Do not patch test on skin that is already irritated. If after 24 hours there is no irritation to the skin, you can begin using the products.
