Childs Farm products are as natural as we can make them, mild and gentle and designed for childrens' skin and hair, AND they work! No point having a shampoo that makes you look like mice have been nesting in it, and it's impossible to comb. We want every drop of the product to come up trumps: no room for half measures in our barn.
So, what makes us different?
We don't use the by-line 'as natural as your countryside' as a gesture. Young skin and hair deserve the respect of a researched product on them which is mild and gentle, not harsh and abrasive.
All Childs Farm products DO NOT HAVE Parabens, SLS', Mineral oils or artificial colour.
What does this mean, and does this matter?
Parabens:
These are preservatives which prolong the shelf life of a product. They can cause irritation to young skin, & experts advise against using products that contain parabens.
SLS'
SLS & SLES are harsh foaming agents. They are also known skin irritants. We use a very mild derivative of pure coconut oil instead.
Mineral Oil
This is a liquid by-product of crude oil - you know, petrol, gasoline. Mineral oils form a oil film over skin which is not ideal as healthy skin needs to absord oxygen and release carbon dioxide.
Artificial Colour
Why do it? We think our stuff is pretty inoffensive looking as it is, and why add to it when you don't need to?

Tangerine Oil
It has such wonderful properties and is mild enough for children. We've used it in the bubble baths because it is calming, soothing, relieves tension and makes you happy. It's just awesome and we love love love it!
Sweet Orange
Used in our body wash, sweet orange oil helps dry, irritated skin cope better.
Strawberry and Mint
The mint relieves skin irritation and itchiness, as well as cooling the skin. The strawberry is just yummy smell!
Mrs J adds: We're told our scents smell like a sweet shop: hurrah to that!
